Finback Brewery was founded in 2011 and moved into a permanent space in Queens in 2013. They are excited to be one of the newer breweries in the city and the borough and to bring their unique ideas to the table. Finback was created because the owners wanted to experiment. They now create many different beers that are perfect for all occasions, from backyard parties to beach days. Come on in to their tasting room to try some of their creations. Finback currently only sells their beers in draft format, so head to your local bar to drink some!

Queens Brewery’s brick-and-mortar shop in Ridgewood is the reigning brewery in this year’s Best of the Boro. The brewery – which began brewing in Upstate New York – celebrated the opening of its Queens flagship last year, and has quickly earned praise as the best of the best in the borough. It currently serves up three types of brews: Queens Lager (an American lager, dry-hopped with Summit, Chinook, and UK Pilgrim); Queens Blvd (a session IPA, aggressively hopped with Mosaic, Mandarina Bavaria, and Topaz); and Queens Blau (a seasonal IPA, fermented with premium highbush blueberries). Run by Queens natives (and diehard Mets fans), the Queens Brewery is right at home in Ridgewood.
