Flushing establishment Han Joo may bill itself as “chik naeng myun & BBQ,” but the cold noodle dish (naeng myun) is actually not this Queens Korean restaurant’s most standout dish. That would be the pork belly. Here it’s cooked on a huge crystal. Yes, you read that right. You simply choose if you’d like it thick or thin cut, and then watch it sizzle on what looks like a giant quartz. (And smell it sizzle. Definitely take a moment to appreciate the smell.) Chewy or crispy, it’s salty and satisfying.
