The eatery, which is based in Whitestone, takes its name from the history books since, back in the mid-1800s, modern-day Whitestone was known as Clintonville (which was named for a New York governor, DeWitt Clinton, who was instrumental in building the Erie Canal). The building that houses Clinton Restaurant was built in 1901 and even housed a “speakeasy” saloon during Prohibition. Today, the eatery is owned and operated by the Babich Family who are proud to celebrate three generations of serving the Whitestone community. The restaurant is known for their excellent steak, seafood, and dining experience.
