The Queensborough Performing Arts Center in Bayside is the place in northeast Queens to watch top-notch talent on a stage. The center’s goal is to provide the highest quality, multicultural entertainment that mirrors the diversity of the borough, which is what they have been doing for over 50 years. With room for over 800 guests in the audience, the Queensborough Performing Arts Center has welcomed over 1 million people to watch live performances. Some of the performers to grace the Queensborough stage include legendary actress and singer Bernadette Peters, The Four Seasons tribute band The Four C Notes and Ann Hampton Callaway, the singer, pianist, composer, lyricist, arranger, actress, educator, TV host and producer responsible for the iconic theme song from “The Nanny.”

The theatre has established a Young People’s Theatre Workshop which runs for five months of the year and culminates with a Broadway Quality musical production performed on the main stage entirely by workshop students between the ages of 8 and 18. It also offers a wide variety of adult seminars centering around the arts, performance and various technical aspects of theater. These workshops include: dance, vocal, stage management, costume design, yoga, set construction, sound design, watercolor, photography and audition technique.
